Imelda Padilla was elected to the Los Angeles City Council during a special election in June 2023. Imelda has dedicated herself to improving economic mobility while working to address social issues through various nonprofits and community groups. She previously served on the Sun Valley Neighborhood Council, and was a long-time VICA member prior to her candidacy.
