Councilmember Imelda Padilla represents Los Angeles' Sixth Council District, a region central to the Valley. Elected in 2023 through a special election and serving her first full term since March 2024, Imelda brings over 20 years of community organizing and advocacy experience. She has led initiatives like the L.A. County Women and Girls Initiative, mobilized a coalition for a minimum wage increase, and advanced environmental justice with Pacoima Beautiful. A lifelong Valley resident, she previously served as a Field Deputy and Community Relations Manager. Imelda currently chairs the Government Operations Committee and holds key roles on several other important committees.
