Victor Franco, Jr. is a Partner at California Strategies. Victor has been the architect in building an extensive network of key relationships across many disciplines in the Los Angeles and greater Southern California region.  This robust network includes leaders and officials from all sectors of government and public affairs, public safety, land use and planning, public health, information technology, procurement assistance, and more. Victor has set a standard of demonstrated problem solving for his clients.  Prior to California Strategies, Victor has worked as a Congressional staffer in Washington D.C., in automotive as an advertising & marketing leader, as a policy director for a highly-regarded Downtown Los Angeles business association, and as a member of the leadership teams of several leading lobbyist and government affairs firms in Los Angeles.

 

Matthew Buck manages legislative advocacy and political action programs for the California Apartment Association (CAA) in L.A. County. In nine years with CAA, Buck has advocated on behalf of the rental housing industry throughout Southern California including Orange County, Riverside County, San Bernardino County and L.A. County. Prior to joining CAA, he was a public affairs professional for several entities including Western Municipal Water District, the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues and O’Reilly Public Relations. He holds an executive master of business administration degree from the Pepperdine Graziadio Business School. Buck's favorite sports teams are the Angels, L.A. Kings and New York Jets. He's been married to his wife Sheila for 24 years and they have two adult sons.

Larry Laboe is Executive Director of NewFilmmakers Los Angeles (NFMLA), an organization committed to highlighting emerging filmmakers and storytellers worldwide. Larry is a member of the Producers Guild of America and has been a Faculty Member at the San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI) and L Art University in Shanghai and Beijing. He is a Board Member of the BRIC Foundation and Film Festival Alliance, a Committee Member of SAGindie and the Co-Chair of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Entertainment, Arts and Media Committee. Larry has produced series and commercials, directed by talent such as Joseph Gordon Levitt, for brands, networks and studios, including Disney, NBC, VEVO, Dailymotion, MTV, DEFY Media, Comedy Central, Verizon go90, Amazon, Complex Media, Mountain Dew, Samsung, Coca-Cola, Verizon and more. These productions have been official selections at top festivals including South by Southwest (SXSW) and have won major awards including a BANFF World Media Festival Rockie Award.

Samona Caldwell is Director, Business Connect of the Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission (LASEC). She works to identify and connect local, diverse, and experienced Los Angeles County businesses with professional development, networking, and subcontracting opportunities directly linked to large-scale sports and entertainment events. 

Samona obtained her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) in 2023,and is affiliated with the following organizations in various capacities: Los Angeles African American Women in Policy Institute, Executive Service Corps of Southern California, Ascencia, Los Angeles Brotherhood Crusade, Educate California, and the Diversity Coalition Committee (Signal Hill).

Samona is also a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), PRSA-LA, and an alumna of Leadership California and the University of CA at Davis.
