VICA Scholarship Award Recipients

MELVYN A. KOHN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The VICA Foundation is awarding a $500 scholarship to a student attending one of the following high schools or primary education institutions: 

• El Camino Real Charter High School
• Granada Hills Charter High School
• Harvard-Westlake School
• The Buckley School
• International School of Los Angeles
• Boys & Girls Club Member

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must show an interest in the business community through extracurricular and academic involvement
• Attend one of the aforementioned schools or be a member of the Boys & Girls Club
• Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA
• Submit a 400-500 word essay on the provided prompt
• Must be a senior with an expected graduation in 2021.
• The student selected must attend VICA’s Annual Meeting on December 11, 2020, to receive the scholarship. This will be held virtually from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Two free log-in links will be provided for the student to attend.

MARVIN R. SELTER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The VICA Foundation is awarding a $1,000 scholarship to a full-time undergraduate student attending one of the following universities or colleges: 

• Cal Lutheran
• CSUN
• Glendale Community College
• Los Angeles Pierce College
• Los Angeles Mission College
• Los Angeles Valley College
• Phillips Graduate University
• UCLA
• USC
• Saybrook University 
• University of West Los Angeles
• University of Phoenix
• Woodbury University

Eligible students must be studying business, business administration or a related field. The application can be accessed here.

Submit completed applications to VICA Vice President Jessica Yasukochi at Jessica@vica.com. The application deadline is October 29, 2021.

• Attend one of the aforementioned universities or colleges
• Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA
• Submit a 400-500 word essay on the provided prompt
• Submit a resume with the application
• The student selected must participate during VICA’s Annual Meeting on December 11, 2020, to receive the scholarship. This will be held virtually from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Two free log-in links will be provided for the student to attend. 

RICKEY M. GELB SCHOLARSHIP

The VICA Foundation is awarding a $1,000 scholarship to a full-time student attending one of the following universities or colleges:

• CSUN
• Los Angeles Mission College
• Los Angeles Pierce College
• Los Angeles Valley College

Eligible students must be studying business, business administration or a related field. The application can be accessed here.
